Rainbow Snippets January 28-29

Happy Saturday! It’s cold again in Atlanta. You never know what you’ll get from day to day.

Here’s another snippet from “To Lift My Sole”, published by JMS Books. It’s an interlude between Jim and Lance. Enjoy. 🙂

“You ready for tomorrow?”

“Is that why you really called me?”

“Ostensibly.”

“Ah. Well, yes, I’m ready. It’s at eight, sharp, but I’ll be there at seven to setup and make sure things are just the way I
like them.”

“It’s so hot to hear you talk like that.” Really?

“So, if I tell you that I’ll be wearing a black Armani suit with a white shirt, gold cuff links, and an understatedly expensive tie,
does that turn you on?” I heard an intake of breath. It would appear so.

“My shoes are, of course, exquisite Italian leather. Everything is fitted perfectly to my frame, projecting supreme self-confidence
to everyone around me. I’ll be the man in charge.”

I could hear sheets rustling in the background, and a soft moan. I grinned. “Are you rubbing off to my voice?”

“How could I not?” He’d put me on speakerphone, and his breathing was labored. “Your voice is lethal.”

Happy Sunday! I’ve been doing my best impression of Sleeping Beauty all weekend. I may even take a nap today. 🙂 Hope you’ve been having a fun Saturday/Sunday.

Here’s a snippet from “To Lift My Sole”, published by JMS Books. It’s a little longer than six sentences, but it wouldn’t make much sense otherwise, I thought.  Enjoy.

“Well, hello there.” Did her voice just drop a few decibels? “I’m Paula, a friend of Jim’s. And this is my husband, Bevin.” She
reached out to shake Lance’s hand, and I stood by, like an idiot.

“Lance Lamas,” he replied. “I work, or rather worked, with Jim at the hospital. He’s mum about what he really does for a
living, but he says I’ll figure it out on Monday. You wouldn’t happen to know anything about that, would you?”

“Sorry, no can do.” She removed imaginary lint from his shirt, but I knew she was surreptitiously copping a feel. It was
only flirting, I knew. She was madly in love with Bevin. Paula just liked to get a reaction out of me.

“Why so quiet, Jim?” Her expression was coy.

“I have no words for…whatever’s going on here.”

“Tell me something,” Lance asked after ordering a beer. “Is he always so…difficult to get to know? It’s like pulling teeth.
Though I have fun trying.”

I tried glaring at Paula, willing her by visual osmosis not to say anything. To no avail.

“Oh, he’s a sweetheart, usually. But this assignment has been particularly strenuous, and he hasn’t had sex in years so—”

I gasped in outrage. “Paula!” This amused Lance, and Bevin just shook his head and offered me silent sympathy.

“Looks like I turned up at the right time, then.”

Happy Saturday! 🙂

I’m enjoying a slow day and might even take a nap. Shocking, right?

Here’s a snippet from “Truck Me How I Like it”, published by MLR Press. Not much innuendo here between Derrick (main character) and Paul (lust interest). 😉

“So you’re a musician, Mr. Fontana. It suits you,” I said, sipping the second beer I’d ordered while watching the band play.
It would be my last one for the night. I didn’t drive drunk.

“It’s Paul. Why won’t you use my first name? We’re not at work, and even then, I wouldn’t mind. I think you know that.” He sat on the stool next to mine, ignoring the people who were trying to get his attention.

“Habit, I guess. And I’ll continue to do it, now, just because it bugs you,” I replied, grinning at him.

“I might have to spank you if you do,” he said, and winked at me.

My cock perked up at his words. “That right? Well, you’re just full of surprises, aren’t you?”

It’s been a while! Hope you’ve all been well, and Happy Belated New Year! 😉

Here’s a snippet from “Paulie and the Wedding Bell Grouch”, published by JMS Books. Paulie is about to see more of the new intern than he ever wanted to.

I made some quick calls to florists in the area to reserve roses in whatever shade of purple they had for me, then got my
car from the valet in front of the hotel and drove the ten minutes to our office located on the tenth floor of a swank class “A”
building. I ran down the hall after waving distractedly to Adina, our longsuffering receptionist, and knocked three times on Van’s
door before entering.

“Van, do you have the card ready—”

I stopped short on seeing our newest intern, Nigel Callum, riding the lap of our esteemed head of finance. I was ashamed to
say my cock showed interest behind my expensive slacks. At least the jock I wore kept things in check, to a point.

“Sorry,” I mumbled before shutting the door again.
